Shri Stone

Shri Stone is a local outfit here in Village Khordha. We have been working with stone for as long as I can remember. This part of the district has always been good for this kind of work, and we are glad to be part of it. Our site is a bit rough around the edges, mostly just piles of rock and the heavy equipment we use to move it all around. It is a loud and dusty place to spend your day, but we like being outdoors more than being in an office. We do not really do the whole office thing; most of our business happens right out in the yard or over a quick chat by the trucks. The weather really affects what we can do, so if it rains heavily, we usually have to stop for a bit until things dry out. We have a crew of guys from the village who know how to handle the heavy material safely. We are not trying to change the world or anything, we just provide stone for whatever building projects are going on nearby. It is heavy work and our backs usually ache by the end of the shift. But there is something nice about seeing a finished pile ready to go out to a customer. We keep things simple and do not make promises we cannot keep. If you come out to the village, just look for the dust and the sound of the crushers. That is where we are.
