Maa Sarala Marbles & Granites

Maa Sarala Marbles & Granites is located at Plot No. 30, right on the NH-5 in Jaypur, Pahal. We are near Utkal Height, so we are pretty easy to spot from the highway. The road is always busy with cars and big trucks going toward the city. Because we are right on the main road, a lot of dust comes in, so we are constantly wiping down the marble slabs to keep them looking decent. My brother and I run the place, and we usually have a couple of workers helping us with the loading. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when a new shipment arrives and we have to organize everything in the yard. The sun hits the pavement hard during the day, making the stone quite hot to touch. We have a small cabin where we sit and deal with the paperwork, but most of our time is spent outside. People stop by on their way somewhere else, just to look at what we have. We don’t try to push anyone into buying anything. We just tell them what the price is and where the stone came from. It is a very practical business. We’ve been here at this plot for a while, and we’ve seen the area around Pahal change a lot. Still, we just keep doing what we do, day after day, and try to keep the inventory stocked up. It’s just us and the stones.
