Kamala Granites

We are located at B/101 in the Chandka Industrial Estate. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not exactly the quietest place to work. There are always machines running or trucks coming and going through the gates. Our setup is pretty basic. We have our granite stored here and we spend the day organizing the pieces and making sure they are stored safely. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and warehouses. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just the warehouse and the yard. We deal with a lot of heavy material, so there is always a bit of a mess with stone chips or dust on the floor. We try to keep it as clean as we can, but it’s a losing battle most days. We've been here for a while and the routine doesn't change much. We show up, check the inventory, and help with the loading. It’s steady work. Most people who come to see us know what they are looking for, so we don't have to do much talking. We just show them what’s available at the B/101 plot. It's a no-nonsense kind of place. We just focus on the granite and making sure the trucks get in and out without too much trouble. That’s about it for us. That's how the day goes and we are fine with that.
