S K S Academy

We are located at Plot No 150 in Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar. If you know where the Bishnu Mandir is, we are just a short walk from there. S K S Academy is a small place that we have run for several years. It is a very local feel here. We have a few rooms where we teach different groups of students. The furniture is basic, mostly wooden benches and desks that have seen a lot of use. We don't have a professional cleaning crew, so we usually tidy up the place ourselves before the students arrive. The atmosphere is very informal. Students often hang out near the entrance for a bit before their classes start. We don't have any big corporate rules or anything like that. We just expect the kids to show up and do their work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just life in this area. We are quite close to the temple, so we often hear the bells and the music during festivals. It adds a bit of character to the place. We mostly help with the standard school subjects. Parents from the neighborhood trust us because we have been here so long. It is just a simple, honest place for kids to come and get some help with their studies after school.
