Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Sawangi Wardha Ms.

This medical college is located out in Sawangi, Wardha, in Maharashtra. It’s a pretty large place because medical training requires a lot of space for labs and hospital work. We are part of the local landscape here in the Wardha district. It isn't like the big cities; things move a bit differently here, but the work is just as intense. Being a medical college, we have a lot of students who are living away from home for the first time. They spend a lot of time in the library and the clinics. It’s a tough life for them, and we see it every day. The campus has grown over the years to include various departments. We don't try to sound like a corporate hospital. We are a teaching institution first. There’s always someone running somewhere with a clipboard or a stethoscope. It gets dusty and hot in this part of Maharashtra, but the work doesn't stop for the weather. We deal with patients from the surrounding rural areas too, which gives the students a real look at health issues in the countryside. It’s a lot of responsibility for everyone involved. We don't have a marketing department writing fancy stories. We just have a campus full of people trying to learn medicine and a lot of patients who need help. It's a busy, sometimes messy, but very real place for training future doctors.
