Gorament School

We are located right on Info City Road in Patia, which is a very different place now than it was a few years ago. There are all these big office buildings and glass windows around us, but our school stays pretty much the same. It’s a bit of a contrast, seeing the tech workers in their cars while our students are walking to the gate with their heavy backpacks. The traffic on this road can be a real headache in the morning, so we are used to kids showing up a few minutes late. The school itself is a simple structure. We don't have the fancy air conditioning that the offices nearby have, so we just keep the windows open and hope for a breeze. The classrooms are filled with the sound of kids talking and the scratch of pens on paper. We have a small yard where the students can run around for a bit, but it gets dusty when it hasn't rained in a while. Being at Gorament School means dealing with the noise of the city, but inside the gates, we try to create a space where kids can just be kids and learn their lessons. The teachers here live nearby and we all know the struggle of getting through the day when it’s hot. We just do our work, teach the classes, and go home like everyone else in Bhubaneshwar. It’s just a regular local school in a fast-moving area.
