Goodwill Smart School

We’ve been here at Ch 62 for a while now. Most people know us as the place in the Co Operetive Housing Complex in Patia Gds. It’s a busy spot in Bhubaneshwar, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping their kids off before heading to work. The building isn't fancy, just a regular place where children come to learn. You can hear the noise from the street sometimes, but once the kids start their lessons, it mostly settles down into a steady hum of reading and writing. We have some desks that have seen better days, and the fans on the ceiling hum quite a bit when it gets hot in the afternoons. It’s just how things are here. We don't really do much in terms of big events, we just focus on getting through the books and making sure the children understand their math and language. The neighbors are mostly used to the kids playing out front during the short breaks we give them. It gets quite loud then, but it’s a good kind of loud. Sometimes we have to remind the older ones to keep it down so the residents don't complain too much. It’s just a local school doing its thing every day. We open up early, sweep the floors, and wait for the first rickshaw to pull up at the gate. That’s pretty much our life here at Goodwill Smart School and we wouldn't change it for much else.
