Emcons Management is over in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. We are located in the Baramunda area, specifically at Hig 194B in the BDA Duplex. It is a nice enough spot, a bit different from the usual office blocks you see. Being in a duplex means we have a bit more space, and the whole environment feels more relaxed. We handle management consulting, which basically means a lot of meetings and looking at how businesses are running. The Baramunda neighborhood is usually buzzing with activity, and we are right in the middle of it. We have our desks set up in the main rooms, and there is almost always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. It gets really hot in Bhubaneswar, so we try to keep the windows shut and the AC running most of the day. We do not really do much in the way of marketing ourselves to the public. Most of our clients have been with us for a long time or heard about us from someone else. The office is full of stacks of reports and old files from previous years. It is a practical place for people who just want to get their work done. We spend a lot of time on the computer or out visiting client sites around the city. It is a steady routine of analyzing data and talking through various business problems. We are just a small group of consultants trying to keep things moving.
