Current India Consultancy is right in the heart of Old Town, Bhubaneswar. We are located in Kunjapatanasahi, which is an area full of history and old buildings. Working in Old Town is different from the newer parts of the city because everything feels a bit more narrow and crowded, but in a good way. The office is small and we have filled it with whatever furniture we could find that fit. It is not the most organized place in the world, with stacks of papers on almost every flat surface, but we know where everything is. The smells of the local street food and the sounds of the temples nearby are just part of our daily life here. We do a lot of consulting for people who are trying to navigate various local regulations or business needs. It is a lot of sitting around the table and discussing options over tea. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you will probably just see one of us hunched over a laptop or talking on a mobile phone. The walls are a little dusty and the fan makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. People like coming to Kunjapatanasahi because it feels like the real Bhubaneswar. We just do our work, help our clients, and then head home through the busy streets of Old Town every evening. It is a simple life.
