About Assistant Creative Director – Event & Planning in Bhubaneshwar
I'm working out of Q. No- 9 on Talkatora Road in New Delhi. It’s an interesting spot to be in, right in the middle of everything but also tucked away. Being an assistant creative director isn't always as glamorous as it sounds in the movies. Most days, I am just shuffling files, making calls, and trying to get people to agree on a color or a layout. The office here is pretty basic. I’ve got my computer, some sketches pinned to the wall, and way too many empty tea cups. Talkatora Road has a certain feel to it, especially when the weather is nice. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make things look better for whatever project we are on. It’s a lot of trial and error. I don't go for those big, polished corporate speeches. I just tell it like it is. If a design looks bad, we start over. I’ve been in Delhi long enough to know how to navigate the heat and the crowds. Working here gives me a bit of peace to actually get things done. It’s just me and the work, really. I don't have a huge team behind me, so I end up doing a bit of everything. From fixing the printer to coming up with a new campaign idea, it all lands on my desk. It’s a living and it keeps me busy enough every day.
