Akhandalamani Tent House

Down on Tankapani Road in Bjb Nagar, things are usually pretty noisy with the traffic passing by all day. We set up Akhandalamani Tent House right on Plot 2171 because there was enough space for all the poles and heavy cloth we have to move around. Most days start early for us, usually before the sun gets too high, loading up the old trucks with metal frames and rolls of fabric. It’s hard physical work and your back definitely feels it by the evening hours. The yard stays a bit messy with bits of rope and scraps of material, but that’s just how it is when you’re busy every day. We’ve seen all kinds of weather here, from the heavy rains that make the ground muddy to the dry heat that makes the tent poles almost too hot to touch. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about dates or just to see what we’re loading up for the weekend. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything, just the workspace and the storage sheds. Sometimes the guys sit under the shade of the big tree out front during lunch. We’ve been part of this street for years, and most people around here know us by name. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being part of the local events and seeing things come together from just a pile of pipes and cloth. It keeps us busy and part of the community.
