If you know Sabji Mandi Road in Sant Hirdaram Nagar, you know how loud and crowded it gets. That’s where we are. Shri Krishna Enterprises has been operating out of this area for a while now. It’s right in the middle of everything. You’ve got the vegetable sellers shouting and the trucks trying to squeeze through the narrow gaps. It’s chaos, but it’s our chaos. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more organized, though it doesn't always stay that way. We deal with all sorts of items and people coming in and out all day long. Sometimes we’re just sitting on the stools waiting for a delivery that’s stuck in traffic. There is always a smell of fresh produce in the air from the market outside. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a practical space where we can store things and talk to our regulars. Most of our business comes from people who have been stopping by for years. We know their names and how they like to do things. It’s not like those big stores where nobody knows you. Here, you have to shout a bit to be heard over the street noise. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. The floor is usually a bit dusty and the walls could use a new coat of paint, but the work gets done and that is what matters most to us. We’re just part of the local furniture.
