Our office for Shilpi Realties Pvt Ltd is over at 24 Phase 1 in Rivera Town, near the Mata Mandir area in Bhopal. It’s a decent spot, fairly easy to find once you are in the neighborhood. Rivera Town has a certain feel to it, and we’ve fit right in. We’ve got a small space here where we handle everything. It’s not a huge corporate floor with hundreds of people. It is just a handful of us working at our own pace. The Mata Mandir is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We spend a lot of our time looking at maps and talking to people on the phone. The office itself is filled with rolls of paper and old coffee mugs. It’s a working environment, not a showroom. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. We just want the lights to stay on and the computers to work. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, but that’s just Bhopal for you. We’ve been operating out of this Phase 1 location for a while now. It’s become a second home to most of us. We aren't big on formalities. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone eating a snack or arguing about where to order lunch from. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do their jobs well. The air conditioner makes a weird humming noise in the afternoons, but we’ve mostly learned to just ignore it while we work.
