Piya Coaching

Piya Coaching is located right on NH 86 in the Ashoka Garden area. Being on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise from the heavy trucks passing by, but it makes us very easy to find. We are quite close to the Kali Mandir, which serves as our main landmark. The rooms we use for teaching were quite empty when we first started, but now they are filled with old chairs and tables. I spend my mornings cleaning up the dust that blows in from the road before the first batch of students arrives in the afternoon. We do not have a big sign or any bright lights. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends at school. The students usually show up around 4 PM after they have had their lunch at home. We have a few fans that struggle against the Bhopal heat in the summer, but we make do. It is a very humble setup without any polished floors or air conditioning. We just focus on the chapters and the exercises in the textbooks. Sometimes we sit on the floor if the group is a bit larger than usual. The temple nearby is a quiet place where I sometimes go during the short breaks between classes. It is just a regular part of life here on the edge of the highway, helping kids get through their exams one day at a time.
