Mihir Abacus Academy

Down on Hoshangabad Road in the Raja Shopping Complex, we have a little space at Flat Number 4. Being near Danish Nagar, we get a lot of families from the nearby colonies stopping by. The shopping complex is a familiar landmark for everyone who lives on this side of town. Our space is set up specifically for teaching abacus to children. It’s a bit different from a regular classroom. We have low tables and colorful charts on the walls to help the kids stay engaged. It’s not a huge place, but it’s comfortable enough for small groups. We have some toys in the corner for when the younger ones need a break. The main road outside is always busy with traffic, but once you’re inside the flat, it’s much quieter. We’ve been doing this for some time now, and we like the routine of it. We don't have a big corporate structure. Usually, it’s just one or two of us here handling everything from the teaching to cleaning up the snacks after class. The abacus tools are kept in neat rows on the shelves. Sometimes things get a little messy when the kids are excited, but that’s just how it goes. We don't use fancy software; we just use our hands and the beads. It’s a very practical, old-school way of doing things that still works today. Most parents just wait in the hallway while we finish the lesson.
