Pahal Design

Pahal Design is located on the second floor of the Basant Kunj building in Arera Colony. We are at E-8/3, which is a fairly easy address to find once you are in this part of Bhopal. The building is right beside the Canara Bank, so that is what we usually tell people to look for. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the trees in Arera Colony, which is nice during the rainy season. There is no elevator, so everyone has to take the stairs, which keeps us all a bit more active than we might like. The space inside is mostly taken up by drawing tables and stools. We do not have a lot of decorations on the walls, just some old sketches and some notes pinned up here and there. It is a practical workplace where we spend most of our hours. Arera Colony is a bit quieter than the main city markets, which helps us stay focused on what we are doing. We are just a small team of people who enjoy design and teaching it to others who come by. The lighting in the rooms is okay, though we sometimes have to move the lamps around to see the finer details on the paper. It is not a polished corporate office by any means. It feels more like a workshop where things actually get made and practiced every single day.
