New Takshshila College

New Takshshila College is located right by the Nishatpura Railway Crossing on Berasia Road in Bhopal. If you’ve ever been stuck at that crossing, you’ve definitely seen our building. It’s a practical location for students coming in from the nearby areas since the buses stop right nearby. The building itself is quite traditional, with wide corridors and high ceilings that help a bit with the Madhya Pradesh heat in the summer. We have a lot of students who come from working-class families, and the vibe here is very much about getting your degree and finding a job. There isn't a lot of fluff or extra stuff that isn't needed. The classrooms are basic with standard benches, and the library has the books you need for the exams, though it’s not the kind of place where you’d find a fancy coffee shop or lounge. You’ll often see groups of students standing near the gate after class, just catching up before they head home or to their part-time jobs. The faculty members are mostly people who live in the city and have been teaching the same subjects for a decade or more. They aren't trying to be trendy, they just get through the lessons and help the students understand the material. Sometimes the trains passing by make a bit of noise, but after a few days, you stop noticing it. It’s just a regular college doing its thing on a busy road, helping local kids move on to the next stage of their lives.
