Khankhedi Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

We're based out of Khankhedi. It's where Kanhaiyalal Patidar lives. Most of us here have been farming our whole lives. That’s just what people do in this part of the world. Khankhedi Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is the name on the papers, but to most people around here, we are just the local guys working the land. It’s not a fancy operation. We spend a lot of time talking about soil and rain. The village life is slow but we keep busy enough. We set this up to try and make things a bit easier for everyone in the group. Farming alone is hard, so we figured doing it together might work better. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us. Sometimes the crops are good, sometimes they aren't. We just take it as it comes. Kanhaiyalal's place is where we usually meet up to discuss things or handle the business side of stuff. It’s a simple setup. We are just trying to get a fair shake for what we grow. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We just want to keep our farms going and maybe help the next generation stay on the land too. It's honest work and that’s plenty for us. The sun is hot here in Khankhedi and the ground can be stubborn. But we've lived here our whole lives, so we know how to handle it. We don't have any big slogans or goals to change the industry. We just want to make sure the people in our village have a way to sell their grain without getting cheated. It’s a simple idea, really. We spend our days out there, checking the rows and making sure the irrigation is working. It’s not glamorous at all. You get dirty and your back hurts. But at the end of the day, seeing the trucks loaded up makes it worth the trouble. We aren't professional businessmen. We're just farmers who had to learn how to run a company on the fly. It's been a lot of trial and error. We've made plenty of mistakes along the way, believe me. But we keep going because we have to. This is our home.
