Jain Tutorial

Jain Tutorial is situated at 21, Thana Road in the Shahajanabad area of Bhopal. It’s an easy place to spot because we are right on the road near the police station. The area is quite traditional and has that old Bhopal feel to it. Our space isn't very large, but we make the most of it. We have a few rows of benches and a solid desk at the front. It’s the kind of place where things are kept tidy but it definitely looks like a working classroom. There are ink stains on some of the desks and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop anyone from learning. We started this tutorial because we wanted to provide a local spot for the kids in Shahajanabad to go after school. We don't have a lot of rules, other than showing up on time and doing the work. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just use plain notebooks and the standard curriculum. Usually, the sessions are in the evenings. The street outside can be quite lively with people going about their business. We just keep the door closed and focus on the lessons at hand. It’s a small, family-run type of thing. We know most of the parents by name because they live just a few streets away. It's just a simple, honest place for study.
