Jain Bricks

Jain Bricks is located out in Village Bilkhiriya, right along Raisen Road. It’s a good spot because the road is a main link for many people. We have a big open area where we do all the work. It’s mostly manual labor and the sun is our biggest boss. When the weather is good, we are very busy. When it rains, we have to stop and take it easy. The village life is quiet except for the sound of the trucks passing by on the road to Raisen. We started small and haven't really changed much over the years. We still use the same basic methods that our fathers used. There is a lot of mud and water involved in what we do. By the end of the day, everyone is covered in red dust. We usually sit around a small fire in the winter mornings to get warm before starting the heavy lifting. The office is just a simple room with a table and a few chairs for visitors. We don't believe in spending money on fancy furniture when we could be improving the yard. Most of our customers are locals building their own homes or small contractors from the nearby towns. We know many of them by name. It’s a simple way to do business and it suits us just fine. We just want to keep the kilns running and stay busy throughout the year.
