Eco Bricks & Tiles

Over here at Plot 36 in the New Market area, things stay pretty busy most of the time. We are right by Bhadbhada Road, so there is always noise from the traffic passing through T.T. Nagar. We deal with eco bricks and different kinds of tiles. It’s a lot of lifting and moving crates around. The yard gets crowded when a shipment comes in. Sometimes the tiles get a bit dusty from the road, so we have to wipe them down if someone wants to look closely. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the stacks of products and a small space to sit. I usually spend most of the morning checking the stock levels. My brother helps out with the loading. People stop by on their way to the market to check what we have in. It’s a practical business. We don’t do much fancy talking. If the bricks are good, they sell. If they aren't, they sit there. We try to keep the place organized but it’s hard with so much inventory coming and going. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it pretty warm inside. We just keep the fan going and wait for the next person to come by. Most of the people we deal with are local builders or folks fixing up their own houses nearby. It's a regular job for us, nothing more, nothing less, just keeping things moving every day.
