We operate out of Sakiar Ali House No. 512, which is more of a home than a traditional office space. Indian System Ltd. is based here, and we like the casual feel of the place. It’s not a polished corporate environment with cubicles and bright lights. Instead, we have desks set up in the different rooms and a kitchen where we all take turns making tea for each other. The house is old but it’s sturdy, though the floorboards creak a bit when you walk across the main room. We have shelves filled with hardware parts and cables that seem to get tangled no matter how many times we try to straighten them out. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s usually quiet except for the occasional car driving by or kids playing in the street. We’ve been at this address for several years and the people living nearby know us well. We don't have a big staff or a human resources department to handle things. If there’s a problem, we just sit down and talk it out until it’s fixed. Most of our days are spent on the phone or at our computers, handling various technical tasks. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do good work and earn a decent living. It’s a very practical and honest setup, and we appreciate the flexibility it gives us every day.
