A.K. Engineering Workshop

Down in the Govindpura Industrial Area, you will find A.K. Engineering Workshop. It is a bit loud and dusty here, mostly because of the machines and the trucks passing by all day. We do a lot of metal work and repairs for people in the neighborhood. Our workshop is not the cleanest place, but it gets the job done. We have some lathes and welding sets that have been with us for years. They are old but they still work fine if you know how to handle them. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil spots. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. By noon, the shed gets really hot, so we usually take a break then. We handle all sorts of small jobs, like fixing broken gates or making parts for local factories. It is honest work and we don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. If something is broken, we look at it and tell you if we can fix it or if it is just scrap. Most of the guys working here have been doing this since they were young. We know the machines inside and out. It’s just us doing our daily shift in Govindpura. Sometimes the power cuts affect our schedule, but we catch up. We don't have a big office, just a small desk in the corner for bills and tea cups.
