You can find us over in the Govindpura industrial area in Bhopal, specifically at 50/B and 51/A in the H Sector. It’s a pretty big spot, and we’ve been here long enough that the walls have that specific industrial smell of oil and metal. United Engineering Industries is basically where we spend all our daylight hours. The H Sector is always noisy with the sounds of fabrication and heavy trucks moving through the gates. We have a couple of bays where the actual work happens, and it’s rarely ever tidy. There’s always a piece of steel or a tool that needs to be moved. We’ve got a small office section where we handle the paperwork, but most of us prefer being out where the machines are. The heat in Bhopal can get pretty intense, especially in a tin-roofed shop, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks when we can. We aren't a fancy outfit with polished floors. People come to us because they know we’re right here in the industrial estate and we’ve been doing this for years. We deal with all sorts of engineering tasks, some big and some small. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired, but the gates open again at eight the next morning.
