Laxmi Engineering Industries

Our workshop is located at Plot No. 72-A in Sector-I of the Govindpura Industrial Area. It’s an older building, and you can tell by the way the doors creak. We do a lot of engineering work here, which basically means a lot of oil and noise. There’s always the sound of a lathe running or someone hammering something into place. We have a few benches that have been here since the start, scarred and burnt from various projects. The lighting isn't the best, especially on cloudy days, but we know where everything is kept. Govindpura can be a bit chaotic during the day with all the vehicles, but our little corner is where we focus. We don't have any shiny brochures. If someone needs something made or fixed, they just bring it by and we talk it over. Usually, there’s a bit of a wait because we are always busy with something. I spend a lot of time looking through drawers for the right size bolt. It’s the kind of place where you learn something new every day just by trying to make things fit. It’s not a clean job, and my overalls are usually a mess by noon. We just like making things work the way they’re supposed to. We just get on with it without making a fuss.
