Aasirvadh Protiens

Bittan Market is a busy place in Bhopal, and our spot, Aasirvadh Protiens, is right in the thick of it. We deal with a lot of heavy sacks every day, mostly filled with different types of dals and grains. The shop is pretty basic, with white-washed walls that have a few scuff marks from moving crates around. We spend a lot of time sorting through things to make sure there are no stones or husks in the loose items. The humidity in 462003 can be a bit much, so we have to be careful about how we store the flour and rice. We don't have a lot of space for customers to walk around, so they usually just stand at the wooden counter and tell us what they need. It gets very crowded on market days when everyone from the surrounding areas comes to buy their weekly supplies. We use an old calculator that has some sticky buttons, but it gets the job done. Sometimes we share a cup of tea with the shopkeeper next door when things are slow in the afternoon. The overhead light flickers sometimes, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It’s just a place where we work hard to keep the shelves stocked with the basics people need for their kitchens. It isn't anything fancy, just a plain shop with a lot of bags and boxes and everyday work.
