Gramin Sthali Senior Secondary School

Our school is situated right in the middle of Morwala, out here in the Bhiwani district. It is a place that almost everyone in the village knows well since their children have been coming here for many years. The building is solid and made of brick, and it does the job of keeping the sun out while everyone is inside studying their lessons. We have students starting from the primary level all the way up to senior secondary, so the age range is quite broad and the hallways are always busy. You will often see the older kids helping the little ones with their bags or during the lunch break. Since we are in a rural spot, things are very straightforward and we don't have many of the high-tech gadgets you might find in a city school. But the teachers here know every single student by their first name and often know their parents too. The dusty playground is where all the cricket matches happen once the last period is over for the day. Sometimes the cows from the nearby fields wander a bit too close to the school fence, but that is just a normal part of life in Morwala. We focus mostly on the textbooks and making sure everyone is ready for their exams. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but the atmosphere inside is good and the kids seem happy enough to be here.
