Aman Cement Store

Aman Cement Store is located in Bawani Khera, and we are pretty easy to find since we are right near Baba Kamal Mandir. You can often hear the bells from the temple in the morning and evening, which is quite nice when you are busy stacking bags. The store itself is a plain building where we keep the cement out of the rain. In Bawani Khera, things move at their own pace, so we do not usually have that frantic city energy. We just open up early, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to arrive. Most of the people who come here are locals who are working on their houses or small patches of land. We have been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. It gets a bit dusty inside with all the cement, but we try to keep it as clean as a store like this can be. There is not much in the way of decoration here. It is just walls, a roof, and stacks of heavy bags. Sometimes when it is quiet, we sit outside and watch the people going to the mandir. It is a steady way to make a living, and being near the temple means there is always a sense of peace around the place. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the trucks can get in and out of the yard.
