Our business is on Bapora Road in Tosham. We are right opposite the Surender Singh Memorial Herbal Park, which is a nice landmark to be near. The shop is named after Shyam Lal and Shanker Lal, who started everything here many years ago. We deal in all the heavy stuff like sand, bricks, and cement. Our yard is usually a bit of a mess with piles of different materials everywhere, but we have our own system for finding things. It’s a lot of outdoor work, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, the yard becomes a muddy mess, and when it’s hot, the dust gets everywhere. We don't have a corporate office or a polished image. It’s just a small shack where we handle the money and keep the receipts. We know most of the truck drivers who bring the supplies into Tosham. We spend our days wearing old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. People from the nearby villages come to us because they’ve known us for decades. We don't have a mission or a fancy slogan. We just provide the materials that people need to build their houses. Sometimes we sit on the edge of the brick piles and watch the people going into the herbal park across the road. It’s a quiet life for the most part, and we just focus on getting the work done every single day.
