Gayatri Brick Suppliers is based at House No.102 in Kumharo Ka Mohalla. This is in Manikya Nagar, within Village Rajola. Our neighborhood has a long history with this kind of work, as you can probably tell from the name of the Mohalla. It’s where the potters and makers have lived for a long time. We work out of a relatively small space compared to some of those big industrial plants, but we stay very busy. Being in a residential mohalla means we have to be careful with the trucks and the noise so we don't bother the neighbors too much. Everyone knows everyone else around here. You can usually find me or one of the family members at the house or right nearby where the materials are kept. We don’t have any fancy titles or uniforms. We just wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every day. The village of Rajola is a good place to live and work. We supply bricks to a lot of people who are building their own homes or adding a room for their kids. It’s satisfying to see the bricks we supplied being used just down the street. We don’t do much advertising; our reputation in Manikya Nagar is what keeps us going. It’s just honest, local work that’s been part of our lives for as long as I can remember and we hope to keep it that way.
