Viltans Polyplast

Down here at D/222 in the Nigos Building, things stay pretty busy. We are tucked away in the Kama Industrial Estate along the Service Road in Goregaon East. If you know the area, you know the traffic can be a real headache around shift change. Inside the unit, it’s mostly about the plastic. Viltans Polyplast has been operating out of this space for a good stretch of time now. The machines have their own rhythm, a sort of constant hum that you eventually stop noticing after a few hours. We deal with various polyplast materials, moving crates around and keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we usually have too much work on the floor to worry about that. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s more about function than looking pretty. We have a small desk near the front where the paperwork gets sorted, though it’s usually buried under a few samples. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. It's just us doing our thing in Goregaon, trying to keep up with the orders and making sure the machines don't act up too much on the weekends. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how the equipment works and how to handle the materials properly. It gets hot inside during the summer, but we keep the fans going.
