Dora Appliances Pvt. Ltd. is right there at Santkavaram Chowk. If you pass through the junction, you can’t really miss us. It’s a loud, busy spot with people shouting and horns honking all day long, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We deal in home appliances, the kind of things every household needs to keep running. The shop floor is usually crowded with fridges, washing machines, or whatever we’ve got in stock that week. We don't have those fancy minimalist showrooms you see in the big malls. Our place is more about having the actual products there for people to see and touch. The office is just a small corner in the back where we keep the books and take a break for lunch. Most of the guys working here have been around for years, so we’re more like a family than a corporation. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out what they need without trying to push the most expensive thing on them. It’s more about what actually fits in their kitchen or laundry room. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a minute to breathe and talk about the cricket scores. Santkavaram Chowk is the heart of the area, and we’re happy to be right in the middle of it, just doing our thing and helping the locals with their home needs. It’s not fancy, but it’s our life and we do it well.
