SIGMA Plastomech

Our shop, SIGMA Plastomech, is based in the Chitra Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation area. It is a really large industrial zone, and we are just one of many businesses working with machinery around here. We focus mostly on the mechanical side of things, specifically stuff related to plastic processing. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of different machines running all at the same time. It is definitely not a quiet place to work. We spend our hours assembling various parts and testing out how everything fits together. Being inside the GIDC means we are surrounded by other people doing industrial work, so help or spare parts are never too far away if we get stuck on a problem. We have been in Chitra for a good long while now. The building we are in is simple and made for hard work, not for looking pretty or hosting fancy meetings. We have grease on our hands most of the time. Sometimes the machines act up for no clear reason and we have to spend half a day taking things apart to figure out why. That is just part of the job we do. We do not have a big team of people, just a few of us who know the equipment inside and out. We do not do much talking; we just show what the machines can do. Every day is about getting the work done and making sure things are ready.
