You can find us at Shed No. K- 1/36 in the G.I.D.C. area of Chitra. We are right across from the Temple of Mastrambapa, which is a great landmark because everyone around here knows where it is. Sometimes when the wind is right, you can hear the temple bells over the sound of our industrial machines. It’s a dusty part of town, especially when the trucks go flying past the shed on their way to other parts of the G.I.D.C. inside, it’s all business. We have our equipment set up to handle whatever work comes through the door. Shri Ram Industry has been operating from this same spot for years, and the walls show it. They’ve got that look of a place where a lot of work has happened. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or signs; we’d rather just keep the machines in good shape. The heat in Chitra can be really something in May, so we drink a lot of water and try to get the heaviest work done early in the morning. My favorite part of the day is early on, before the sun gets too high and the whole area starts to bake. We see a lot of the same faces every week, guys from other units nearby who stop in to borrow something or just to chat for a minute. It’s a tough environment but it is home to us.
