Our office is located at 61-B in the Nirbhay Society, which is over in the Chitra area. It’s actually a residential neighborhood, so it’s much quieter than the industrial estates nearby. We work out of a small space here and handle all the paperwork for the exports. It doesn't look like a big company building from the outside, it just looks like another house in the society. We have a couple of desks, a computer, and a lot of files piled up. Most of our time is spent on the phone talking to people or typing out documents. We don't have many walk-in visitors because of how the society is set up. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside and you can hear them through the windows. It’s a nice change of pace from the noisy parts of town. We usually start our day early with some tea and go through the messages that came in overnight. It’s just a few of us here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering calls to packing small samples. We don't have any big signs, so you have to look at the house numbers to find 61-B. Chitra is a growing area but our little corner remains pretty calm. We just keep our heads down and make sure all the shipping details are correct before the day ends.
