Narmada Machine Tools

Our shop, Narmada Machine Tools, is located at Plot No. 301/18 in the Vartej GIDC area. Being near Nari Chouukdi on the Rajkot Highway means there is always a lot of movement outside. You can hear the trucks passing by all day long. It is a dusty spot, especially when the wind picks up off the highway, but it is a good place for a business like ours. We spend most of our time inside the unit working with the tools. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings or bits of oil. It is hard work, and we do not spend much time worrying about how the office looks. As long as the machines are running right, things are fine. Vartej is a practical place for people who make things. We have been at this location for quite some time now. Most people find us because they are already in the GIDC for other business. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the plot number and the work we do every day. The coffee across the road is decent, which helps on the long days when we have a lot of orders to get through. It is just a regular machine tool shop where we show up, do the labor, and head home when the sun goes down. The highway noise becomes a sort of background hum that you eventually stop noticing after a few years of working in this industrial belt.
