CHAMUNDA MECHANICAL WORKS

Chamunda Mechanical Works is situated at Plot No 1 in the Ram Krupa Building. We are right in the Vadva Talavdi area, which is pretty easy to find since we are near the Municipality Health Center. It’s a standard mechanical shop with a lot of heavy tools and machines that have seen plenty of use. The floor is usually marked with oil and metal shavings from the different projects we handle. We aren't the type to wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. We are usually out on the floor with our sleeves rolled up. Bhavnagar can get very hot, so we have a few old fans that we keep running throughout the day. They make a lot of noise, but they help a bit. Most of our work involves fixing things or making small parts for other machines. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We have a small area where we keep our tools organized, though they sometimes end up all over the place when we are in a hurry. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by just walking into the shop. We just try to do an honest day’s work and head home when it’s done. Every now and then, the power goes out and we just take a break until it comes back on.
