R. K. Engineering

Our workshop is at A-5 in Anand Apartment. It’s a bit unusual to have an engineering setup in an apartment building, but we’ve made it work for R. K. Engineering. We handle a lot of small-scale fabrication and repair jobs here. Most of the space is taken up by tools, lathes, and bits of metal we’re working on. It’s definitely not a corporate office. It’s loud and sometimes there’s a bit of a smell from the welding, but the neighbors don't mind too much since we stick to daytime hours. We do a lot of work for local contractors who need specific parts made. It’s just me and a couple of helpers mostly. We didn't want to spend a fortune on a big factory space when this works just fine. Anand Apartment is easy enough to find. We get our supplies delivered once a week and that’s when things get really crowded in the hallway. We don't have a receptionist or a website, people just call or walk in. It’s a simple way to run things. We focus on the work and making sure the measurements are right. If a job is too big, we say so. No point in making promises we can't keep from this small shop. We just take it one day at a time here.
