Nilkanth Tiles

Nilkanth Tiles is located in Village Rajpardi, which is part of the Jhagadia tehsil in the Bharuch district. If you are coming through the area, we are right near the Char Rasta. It’s a bit of a rural spot, so things move a little slower here than in the big cities. We like it that way. The shop is basically a big shed where we keep all the tiles organized. It can get pretty hot under the tin roof during the summer months, but we have a few big fans that keep the air moving. There is always a layer of red dust on everything because of the dirt roads around here. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. It’s hard work and our clothes usually end up pretty dirty by the end of the day. We aren't trying to be some big fancy showroom. We just provide tiles to the local people and builders around here. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit. We keep a few plastic chairs out front for that. There’s a small tea stall just across the road that makes the best ginger tea, so we go there a lot when it’s not too busy. It’s a simple life running a tile shop in Rajpardi. We just try to get the work done and go home to our families in the evening. Nothing too complicated about how we do things.
