You can find Delhi Public School (Cbse) out on the Paguthan-Aldhar Road in Bharuch. It is a bit of a drive from the center of town, but the road is usually okay. The school building is quite large and takes up a lot of space. We have a lot of rooms and long hallways that seem to go on forever when you are walking them. The morning routine is always the same. The buses arrive, the noise level goes up, and we all get to work. We have some green patches around the grounds, though keeping them green in this weather is a full-time task for the gardener. The office is usually busy with paperwork and people coming in for certificates. We keep things pretty straightforward here. No one is trying to be something they are not. The teachers have their own ways of doing things, and the kids are just like kids anywhere else. They run, they talk too much, and they wait for the final bell. In the afternoons, when the sun is high, the whole place feels a bit sleepy until it’s time to go home. We focus on the CBSE curriculum and just try to stay on track with the calendar. It is a big operation to run, but we take it one day at a time. The local tea stall just outside the gate is where some of the staff catch up after work.
