You can find our place at Plot Number 77 in Sector 11 of the G.I.D.C. area. It’s a pretty large industrial zone, and we have been at this P.B. No. 10 address for quite some time. Being in the food business means we have a lot of rules to follow about keeping things clean and organized, so that takes up a lot of our morning routine. The machines hum all day long, and there is usually a smell of whatever we are processing hanging in the air. It’s not always a bad smell, just heavy and constant. We have a crew that comes in early to get the lines started. The trucks back into the loading dock at all hours, and sometimes the noise of the hydraulic lifts makes it hard to hear anything else. The office part is just a few desks shoved into a corner where we handle the paperwork and the billing. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People who come here are usually drivers or suppliers. We drink a lot of tea in the break area while we wait for the batches to finish. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and it gets quite warm inside, even with the big fans running. It is just a regular food plant where people work hard to keep things moving. We keep a spare set of boots by the door because the floor can get slippery when we wash it down at night.
