Our mill, Ricinash Oil Mill Ltd., is situated at Plot No. 761/b in the Gidc Mega Estate. If you know the Mega Estate area, you know it’s a big place with lots of different factories and units. We fit right in there with everyone else. The smell of oil is pretty much everywhere around our plot. It’s what we do every day. We spend the whole day processing and looking after the machinery. It’s a lot of maintenance work to keep everything running smooth. Oil mills can be messy, so we are always cleaning up spills or wiping down the tanks and floors. We aren’t really into the marketing side of things. We just run the mill and get the product ready. The staff here has been around for a long time. We know the specific sounds the machines make when they are running right. When something sounds off, we know we have work to do. Plot 761/b is our home base. It’s got enough room for the trucks to come in and load up. The Gidc area is always moving, which is good for the business. We don't have any fancy brochures to hand out. If you want to know about us, you just come down to the mill. We are usually busy with the production line most hours. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, especially when it’s too humid for the machines, but we manage. We just keep our heads down and do the work. That is really all there is to it.
