Agarwal Tiles & Marbles

You can find Agarwal Tiles & Marbles on Circular Road, very close to the Nashia Mandir. Our shop is full of different kinds of stone. We have slabs of marble standing against the walls and boxes of tiles stacked in the middle of the floor. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a fancy showroom with spotlights. We just use the natural light that comes through the big front doors. If you want to see how a tile looks, we usually just carry it out into the sun. Circular Road is always busy, and the sound of horns is something we’ve just learned to ignore. The mandir is a good landmark, and on festival days, the whole area gets very crowded with people. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen all sorts of trends in flooring come and go. We don't try to push anything on anyone. People come in, look around, and decide for themselves. We spend a lot of time lifting heavy samples, so it keeps us in decent shape. The air inside the shop is usually a bit cool because of all the stone, which is nice in the summer. We keep a ledger for all the sales and a small phone that rings more than it probably should. It’s just a normal day for us, surrounded by marble and tiles, trying to keep things running.
