Happy Valley School

Happy Valley School is situated at Zero Mile on Jharkhand Road in Bhagalpur. It is a well-known spot in the area because it is right at a major junction. The dust and the noise from the road are just part of the daily life here. We have got a building that houses all our classrooms, and we try our best to keep it cool during the hot Bihar summers. It is not a fancy institution with a lot of money to blow on decor. We focus more on whether the benches are sturdy and if we have enough chalk for the day. The staff comes from around Bhagalpur, so we are all locals who understand the rhythm of the city. We do not talk like we are in a boardroom. We talk like neighbors. You will often find us standing by the gate in the morning, greeting the parents and making sure the kids get inside safely. The yard gets a lot of use during recess, and it shows. We are not trying to be anything we are not. It is just a school where we teach the basics and hope the kids do well later on. There is a lot of paperwork and small problems to solve every day, but that is what running a school at Zero Mile involves. It is a busy, noisy, and honest place to work.
