Snr Bricks

Snr Bricks is situated right along the Haldia Bypass. It’s a busy spot, especially with the Carmel School just a short walk away. You can see the Bharat Mata Temple from our gate too. In the mornings, it's quite loud with the school buses and the people going to the temple. We usually start working before the sun gets too high. There is always a lot of dust because of the bypass traffic, so we are constantly cleaning things off. Our yard is filled with rows of bricks waiting to be picked up. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. We know the regulars who come by. It’s a straightforward business. We make the bricks, we stack them, and then they go out. Sometimes the rain slows us down, and the ground gets really muddy near the bypass. We have to be careful with the trucks then. We just stay here and look after the inventory. It's not a glamorous life, but we like being near the temple. It gives a bit of peace to the day. We don't use any big machines, mostly just hand work and basic tools. If you’re driving past the school, you’ll see our stacks. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just this spot on the road where we've been for quite some time now. It’s just us doing the best we can with what we have here.
