We are located on the ground floor at 26-1 on Rangapa Street. It is a busy part of Chikka Mavalli so there is always something happening right outside the door. The space is mostly filled with boxes and piles of stuff we deal with every day. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we can usually find what a person is looking for if they give us a minute to dig through the back. The walls could use a new coat of paint but nobody really looks at them anyway. Most of the guys who come in are local workers or people looking for specific parts for their projects. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking if a delivery has arrived at the city gates. The desk is covered in old receipts and half-empty tea cups because there is always something to do. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the rain or the bikes going past. Other days it feels like everyone in the neighborhood needs something at once. We don't use any computers for the main work, just a lot of writing things down in ledgers. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are standing inside, but it works for us. We just keep the doors open and see who walks in with a problem that needs fixing.
