We are located at Sobha Malachite on Jakkur Plantations Road. It is a bit of a drive out from the city center, but it is quieter here, which helps when you have to concentrate on technical stuff. The office isn't anything you would see in a magazine. It is just 8B, a space we have set up with our desks and a small kitchen area for making coffee. We spend most of our day here, usually starting around nine in the morning. Jakkur is changing fast, with new buildings going up all the time, but this little patch still has some trees left. We are a small group of people, so we don't have a lot of formal rules or a human resources department. If something needs to be done, we just decide who has the most time and they do it. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, and the delivery guys sometimes have trouble finding the entrance to the plantations area. We end up going down to meet them quite a bit. It’s not a fancy life, but we like the work. There is always some problem with a server or a new piece of hardware to look at. We stay busy enough that the weeks go by pretty fast. Sometimes we stay late when we are in the middle of something, but usually, we try to get out before the evening traffic gets impossible.
