You can find us at the KVJR Building on Baner Road in Konankunte. We have been operating Y K S Tours & Travels from this spot for some time now. It is a small office with a few desks and a lot of phone lines. Most of our work involves coordinating with drivers and making sure the cars are where they need to be. We handle local trips and sometimes longer journeys out of the city. My brother and I run the daily operations, and we usually have a few drivers hanging around the area waiting for their next duty. It is not always smooth; sometimes a car breaks down or a driver gets stuck in the Bangalore traffic, and we have to scramble to find a replacement. That is just the nature of the transport business. We do not spend money on big ads. Most of our customers are people from the Konankunte area who have used us before or seen our office while driving past. We have a ledger where we write down all the bookings, though we use the computer for some things too. It is a bit noisy with the traffic on Baner Road right outside the window. We just try to keep the vehicles clean and the schedules as tight as possible. If you need a ride to the airport or a trip to the hills, you just call us up or walk into the building. We will see what cars are free.
