We are on the second floor of a building on Lal Baugh Road. To get to us, you have to go to Door Number 1 at the 3rd Cross. It is a busy part of Bangalore, right near the botanical gardens, so there are always people walking around. The office is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. Inside, it is full of computers and cables. We are a software place, so there is a lot of typing and clicking going on all day. The desks are crowded with monitors and coffee mugs. We don't have a fancy lounge or any of those things you see in the movies. It is just a workspace. The windows look out over the street, so we can see the traffic jams starting in the late afternoon. Our team is a mix of people who are really into coding and people who just want to finish their tasks and go home to their families. We have a small kitchen area where we heat up our tiffins. It smells like curry and sambar around lunchtime. We have been in this spot for a few years now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the chairs are a bit squeaky. But it is our space and we are comfortable here. We just focus on the code and trying to meet our deadlines without too much stress.
