Our place is called Vasavi Niketan, in the Vasu Building. It’s situated at 12/32 on Madiwala 3rd Main. This is another one of those busy Bangalore spots where there’s always something happening right outside the door. The address has some weird symbols in the records sometimes, but locally everyone just knows it as the Vasu Building. It’s a basic structure, nothing modern or glass-covered. Inside, we have a few rooms set up for our work at Wipro Technologies. It’s a bit cramped with all the servers and cables running along the floor, but it’s our space. We spend our days mostly staring at screens and talking to people on the phone. Madiwala is a great place if you want cheap food, so lunch is always interesting. We usually just rotate between the different stalls. The office doesn’t have a fancy breakroom, so we just hang out by the stairs or go for a walk. The traffic on 3rd Main can be pretty bad during peak hours, so most of us try to get in early or stay a bit late to avoid the worst of it. It’s a hardworking environment, but we keep it casual. No one wears ties here. We just try to fix things and build what we need to build. It’s a practical setup for a practical group of people. We’ve been here for a while and it suits us just fine for the work we do.
